Seeing the images out of Kentucky and other tornado ravaged states from this weekend is heartbreaking. My thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by this tragedy. Hearing the stories of everyday people coming to the rescue of their neighbors and strangers in the aftermath is inspiring. America is full of individuals who, when put in a perilous situation, become heroes. This weekend reminded us of this fact. Nowhere else on Earth are more heroes forged than in America. It’s a uniquely American tradition.

The American people have zero appetite for new lockdowns, restrictions, or mandates. This new variant of Covid, while a little concerning, should not be used by wannabe dictators to cram down new authoritarian dictates.

The American people want a return to normal. Part of returning to normal is that people will make their own choices concerning masking, restricting travel, and avoiding crowds.

Instead of lockdowns and other authoritarian measures, I am calling on the federal and state governments to be open, transparent, and honest about the new variant first identified in South Africa so that we can make our own informed choices on how to go about our daily lives.

Kyle Rittenhouse should have never been prosecuted for defending himself. Mr Rittenhouse has been dragged through the mud by the media and an over zealous prosecutor for having the audacity to defend himself from people who sought to kill him.

This was a political prosecution, plain and simple. The Rittenhouse trial is a stark reminder of why the American people need to take the institutions of power back from far-Left authoritarian radicals.

Congratulations to Kyle Rittenhouse. Go forth and live the prosperous life the Left tried to rob you of.
